Overview

The Channel Organizer gives you an overview of the Markets, Accounts, and Contacts present in your channelSUITE install. You can easily move entities around, delete existing ones, or add new ones.

The Channel Organizer looks and works a lot like your file browser in Windows or Mac OSX. The full channel hierarchy is displayed in the first pane on the left. Use the triangle icons (or double click) to expand or collapse the nodes in the hierarchy. Drill down into the channel by clicking the market and account entities and their contents will be displayed in the second pane. From the second pane, click any entity to view a summary of its details in the third pane.

Also similar to your file browser, you can use drag and drop to move items around. When you start to drag an item, suitable destinations for the item are highlighted. You move items inside one pane or between panes.

  • How do I add a new market? - Right click on the existing market that will be the parent of the market that you want to add and pick the Add Market option.
  • How do I add a new account? - Right click on an existing market that will be the parent of the account you want to add and pick the Add Account option.
  • How do I add a new contact? - Right click on an existing account that will be the parent of the contact you want to add and pick the Add Contact option.
  • How do I edit details for an existing market? - Click the market you want to edit in the second pane. In the market details shown in the third pane, click the Edit link.
  • How do I edit details for an existing account? - Click the account you want to edit in the second pane. In the account details shown in the third pane, click the View Full Details link. You’ll be taken to a page that summarizes all the account details and has functions for editing.
  • How do I edit details for an existing contact? - Click the contact that you want to edit in the sec on pane. In the contact details shown in the third pane, click the View Full Details link. You’ll be taken to a page that summarizes all the contact’s details and has functions for editing.
  • What happens if I delete a market that has accounts and/or contacts under it? - The accounts and/or contacts under the market will be moved to the root All Channels market.
  • What happens if I delete an account and it still has contacts under it? - The contacts under the account will be moved to the root All Channels market.
